Cebu Medical Mission 2026 Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines
As we leave Bantayan, our hearts are full.
What started as a simple mission became something much bigger because of every volunteer, every helping hand, and every kind heart that showed up. We came here to serve, but in many ways, we are the ones who received more.
Over the past few days, our team travelled by air, land, and sea to reach the communities of Balidbid, Kabac, and Sulangan in Bantayan Island, Cebu, Philippines.
We turned Bantayan Baptist Church into our humble base camp, sleeping on mattresses, coordinating logistics, doing marketing efforts, cooking meals together with the church members, and preparing daily for the mission ahead.
Together with Love Pal Club, local barangays, churches, volunteers, and partners from Philippines, more than a hundred volunteers came together hand in hand with one shared purpose, to serve.
Some key highlights from the mission:
❤️ Over 1,000 residents received medical mission health screenings and support
❤️ More than 1,000 goodie bags distributed to residents
❤️ 6 WaterRoam water filters installed across the barangays for clean drinking water
❤️ Residents travelled by boat from nearby islets just to attend the mission
❤️ Full support and assistance from the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary District
❤️ Coordination with Bantayan District Hospital to support 5 patients requiring immediate surgery, with Love@Pal sponsoring the medical fees
❤️ New friendships, memories, and bonds created that we will remember for a very long time
From every patient screened, every treatment given, every smile shared, we saw strength, gratitude, and community.
This mission was never about numbers. It was about people. It was about showing up, caring, and making a difference, one life at a time.
It has been amazing working long hours every single day, but seeing the smiles, appreciation, and unity made every moment worth it.
Mission accomplished, but the journey doesn’t end here.
Because what we’ve built together is not just impact for today, but hope that carries forward.
Together as one, we did more. We gave more. We served more.
And we will continue to do so, wherever help is needed next.
