Running an overseas construction project from start to finish is like a running a super small startup with only 1 goal to successfully deliver a completed facility/service for the beneficiaries while being accountable to all volunteers and donors.
You do not need to have any experience to join us for our project.
Join us with an open mind, willingness to serve, physically abled (there's a bit of construction, you need to be mobile and be able to take care of yourself), don't mind roughing it out and expect the unexpected!

Overseas Project Roles : Core Team
Below are some of the core team roles and responsibilities to give you an idea.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the entire project.
- Form core team
- Conduct all meeting briefings
- Pre-trip & onsite coordinator.
- Interview volunteers
- Plan work duties
- Liase with onsite partners
- Track ongoing site development if there are any
- Conflict resolution
- Open bank account with finance lead (depends)
- Reviewing of financial statements with finance lead
Responsibilities:
- Liase with all volunteers.
- Liase with onsite partners
- Manage passports & indemity forms
- Meeting minutes
- Send confirmation email
- Submit MFA details
- Collect participant's trip insurance (for SG residents)
- Inform overseas volunteers the insurance coverage required for the project
- Book flights & accomodation
- Prepare kitchen duty (as random as site permits) & work roster
- Setup whatsapp group for CORE and project (include core) team
- Send volunteer packing list (7kg)
Responsibilities:
- Register bank acccount with admin
- Manage Donation
- Send thank you notes to donors / create facebook & instagram posts (past to media team and sunny)
- Contact online donors on payment details
- Disperment of funds
- Break down costing of project expenses and report it on every meeting
- Bank statement updates (collected and usage of funds)

Pre-trip funds preparation:
- Conversion to local currency
- Check declaration limit for money to be bring over to the country
- Prepare funds for volunteers

Onsite funds management:
- Conversion to local currency
- Settle daily ins/outs (kitchen, tools, etc)
- Review daily finance with Project Lead
- Quarterly review of bank statements with Project lead
- Close bank accounts and delete financials only 1 year after project completion
Responsibilities:

- Location
- Details of the beneifiaries and village size
- Needs (construction, equipments, medical)
- Assess best month for project trip (hot, dry). not too hot until it's unsafe (best <33deg)
- Contact with local construction crew
- Location for kitchen accomodation, market, supermarket, hospitals, clinics, pharmarcy, police station, singapore consulate or embassy
- Transportation (airport to accomodation to project site to all locations).
Responsibilities:
- Drive event ideas (car wash, movie night, etc)
- Manage fund raising
- Team bonding (First aid training, hiking for training, etc)
- Clothes collection events and venue
Responsibilities:
- Manage all logistic aspects of any donation drive (clothes, items)
- Source for shipping partners and find out the shipping cost
- Packing onsite materials that are to be brought over (programs, medic, kitchen & cleaning (clothes, room), stationary supplies etc)

Tracking and account for all items shipped:
- Label all boxes and bags
- Contact shipping partners for updates.
- Make sure items reaches the location
Responsibilities:
- Setup share folder on google drive (lovepal.club@gmail.com) for project
- Invite CORE team members to shared drive
- Limit Access to passport folder (only leads, admin can have access)
- Prepare promotional materials ( recruitment, donation, fund raise project flyer/videos)
- Manage website
- Post on facebook
- Prepare project logo / shirt design
Responsibilities:
- Research on cooking needs
- Kitchen setup / tear down if kitchen is not available on site
- Prepare list of items (pots, pants, bowls, plates, seasoning, cleaning essentials) - best to gather onsite
- Identify Kitchen & Market location (usually handles 1st marketing trip) - Pass on knowledge to next cooking team
- Plan for event day celebration meal (form main cooking team)

- Design and print shirts or iron for all participants

- Prepare photobook
- Upload all media to lovepal google's drive or share it with us
Responsibilities:
- Kids, village, cultural exchange, Hygiene classes for kids/villagers, education seminar, morning exercises, brushing teeth
- Check in with beneficiaries what they need.
- Encourage participants to join in during their break time

- R&R activites research & booking after project. Prepare extra ideas on hand

- Research site medical facilities - hotline,
- Remind men to do Army notification,
- Vaccinations reminders (x mths before trip)
- Note participants medical history (allergies and condition)
